‘Abd al-Husayn Taymurtash (Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk) writes about looking forward to meet with the addressee and in response to his request for finding a tutor says that Haji ‘Ali Akbar and Nazim have not found anyone yet, he asks him/her for what subjects he/she has in mind and how much money he/she had put aside for this. Then he talks about some government related news.

‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash)'s letter to Surur al-Saltanah along with the envelope. Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk talks about the prevalence of the flu in Tehran his hope that Surur is feeling better, suggesting to her to keep warm and use quinine and to send the rest of her illness in an envelope to him. He hopes that Surur is not upset with him anymore after his explanations about not being able to meet her and asks Surur to set another date with him.

‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah and mentions that are both orphaned (one, Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk, is a paternal orphan and the other, Surur al-Saltanah, is a maternal orphan) and lonely, but he is grateful to have Sururr. He writes that recently his statements and requests may have upset Surur and says that he is willing to die longing for her but does not want to upset her. ‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah expressing his love and his sadness that Surur was given a hard time. He is hopeful that they soon find a good house, and if he could not find a place in a few days, he would ask Nayyir al-Muluk so they could stay in their quarters for a while. He once again says how sorry he is that he has not been able to find a house yet.

Correspondence of Surur al-Saltanah and ‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash): on the first page, Surur al-Saltanah writes to Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk complaining about not getting a letter from him and explains her good intentions regarding her previous remarks. On the second page, Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk expresses his happiness on receiving a letter from her, mentions that he had been miserable when Surur had stopped writing to him, and he is so happy now that he is writing this letter while in bed with a fever and will send it with one of the orderlies in the morning.

‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah and tells her that he is sending her a shawl, a turquoise ring, a pair of diamond earrings, and a turbah that he has blessed in Khurasan; he had purchased them all in Mashhad. There is a seal of Surur al-Saltanah, on the top dated 1327 [AH].

‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash)'s letter to Surur al-Saltanah telling her about his sadness on leaving her. He mentions Surur al-Saltanah's remark about the photograph on his mantle shelf, that even though she has been joking but he wants to emphasize his loyalty to his wife and explains that the photograph was there just to fill the empty space and as soon as he learned that it upset Surur, he put it in his desk drawer and decided to hand it to Surur when he meets her.
